I go through spurts, let’s put it that way. For a little while there, I decided I didn’t want to do this anymore and I let it sit in the back corner of my basement to collect dust. The blog wasn’t getting any traction, the other content on social media was getting some, but I felt like I wasn’t in a place to continue making content there, so I figured this would die a death, and that would be it.
Now, I guess I want to blog again, as sort of an outlet. The rest can keep collecting dust until a later time. So, here we go.
Let me preface everything with this: I’m a Trump supporter. I’m not ultra gung-ho like some people, but I support our President, especially the one I voted for in 2024. About 90% of the time I have no issues with what Trump does, and how he goes about doing it and saying it. However, I’ve been a bit perturbed with what’s going on with Hormuz, Iran, and this Israel nonsense.
The Skinny
First off, lets start with the more popular feeling going on right now: Israel and the Jews. For starters, I’m not a believer in the “ITS THE JOOS” nonsense that everyone wants to default to. That’s absolutely ridiculous and its just a crutch for people to lean on when they can’t think critically and actually understand what’s going on. Yes, there are a lot of Jews in the world. Yes, there are a lot of Jews in the United States. And, yes, Jews have a hand in a lot of things here in the United States, including media, banking, and all the other things that everyone likes to point out. Now, just because those things are true, doesn’t mean the Jews control everything. Stop with that garbage, you sound like an uneducated idiot.
I don’t hate Jews. I don’t dislike Jews. What I don’t like is Zionists (and ultra orthodox Jews, like Hasidics, but that’s a different can of worms altogether that’s completely unrelated to this issue). Zionists, and by proxy, Israelis think the entire world is owed to them, and it’s the rest of the world’s job to cater to their every whim and want without question. That arrogance is bullshit, and it’s what got us into this situation in the first place.
See, there was a good reason for us to get involved in Iran. They consistently sponsor terrorism, they would chant “Death to America” in parliamentary sessions while burning the American flag, and they were actively trying to build a nuclear warhead to stick on an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, and aim it directly at the United States. They were probably trying to put a nuclear warhead on a shorter range missile and aim it at Israel too, but that’s less of a concern to me. Anyway, Iran was a problem, and they needed to be dealt with, and it aligned with Israel’s desire to put an end to Iran’s reign of terror in the Middle East, so it worked out.
So, we go in there, take out the Ayatollah, take out most of their leadership, ruin their nuclear capabilities, and basically cut them off from the rest of the world. Very few boots on the ground, very few deaths on our side, and it was looking great. Then it dragged, and dragged, and dragged while we dicked around in the Persian Gulf and Hormuz and drove gas prices up for everyone. Now, part of me thinks this was just hubris on the President’s part, thinking the Iranians would just give up and unconditionally surrender, but that didn’t work. Okay, cool. There’s probably some truth to that, but its more likely than not that we were standing there with our dicks in our hand because Israel kept us there for whatever reason, be it they wanted the big dog to be there while they barked, or because they wanted more and more and needed us there to do it. Either way, we wasted a lot of time there because of them.
Now, we’ve decided enough is enough, and its time to broker a deal. Great, I love it. No more pussy footing around with the sand kingdoms and we can get what we want (hopefully). Unfortunately, the sand chihuahua didn’t like it and started yapping about how it’ll be bad for them if we leave. Oh yeah? Maybe that’s because you won’t shut the fuck up and stop writing checks that your ass can’t cash. This isn’t the Yom Kippur War. Everyone else in the Middle East has built themselves up in the last 50 years, and deciding to invade Lebanon because of Hezbollah, or invade Palestine because of Hamas isn’t going to work the same way. Naturally, however, a victory was promised to them over 2000 years ago, so they get in over their heads and beg for us to bail them out saying “we’re your biggest ally here, and they’re going to nuke us,” and so on and so forth.
So now we’re still stuck there. As of today the MOU says there’s a ceasefire, Hormuz is open and the naval blockade is lifted, Iran is going to downgrade their nuclear program and allow inspectors in to inspect it, and we’re going to pay Iran $300 billion to rebuild after we effectively turned their country into a Buccee’s parking lot. Israel, however, doesn’t like this, and doesn’t think this is a heavy enough punishment on Iran. Do I agree? Kind of. I am happy that we have some kind of deal here and that we’re going to open Hormuz back up and get gas prices down. I don’t think sitting around in the Persian Gulf and lobbing missiles at Iran was going to amount to much more other than Trump and the new Ayatollah playing “nana nana boo-boo” at each other while Congress waffled around with a War Powers Resolution and Iran found new ways to get flattened. Vance is on his way to Switzerland to broker the official deal with Iran, and hopefully we’ll have some sort of resolution by the end of next week.
You know what’s gonna happen though. We’re gonna start to pack up, Iran and Israel are gonna lob missiles at each other again, Hezbollah is gonna shoot some fireworks at the Lebanon border, and some Hamas leader is gonna call Netanyahu some unintelligible anti-semitic word and we’ll be back to square one again. If that’s what happens? Fine. Let the sand kingdoms turn each other into glass because they can’t stop fighting. That’s nothing new here and it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who’s read the news regularly in the last 20 years. The real interest I have here is whether or not we get involved again the minute they start lobbing ordinance at each other. If we do, then its a problem.
So, lets keep it simple shall we? Get a deal done, get out of there, get gas prices down, and move on to the next thing.
And yeah, I’ve mentioned gas prices a lot in this. I don’t like my gas being close to $4 a gallon, and I’m willing to bet none of you do either. Be selfish. Be conceited. Demand what’s good for you and your family. I am, and I sleep very well at night.
Until next time, my friends.
